Presented is a wonderful sterling silver fish server or general server from Whiting. This piece is in the Imperial Queen pattern, which was patented in 1893. The pattern displays fancy shell details and small scrolls along both sides of the handle. The front cartouche is monogrammed “K” in a Gothic script.
The reverse is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for Whiting and the patent date.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. The serving end has a gold wash that is almost entirely worn. There are no breaks, no splits, no dents, and no repairs.
