Wonderful Vintage 14k Gold Smoky Quartz Pearl Brooch Pin

Presented is a lovely vintage 14K gold, smoky quartz and pearl brooch. The pin has a large piece of smoky quartz at the center bezel set in an elegant openwork gold mounting with small pearls around the outside. The center stone measures approximately 21.5 millimeters by 23 millimeters. We estimate the carat weight of the stone to be at least 28 carats, perhaps more. The pearls are approximately 2 millimeters in size each. The pin was made around the first quarter of the 1900s, probably between 1910 to 1930.
The pin is marked 14K on the clasp. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14K gold. Definitely made in the United States.
The condition is excellent. There are no chips, no cracks, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The pin measures 1 1/8 inches square.
The weight is 11.6 grams.
