Presented is a wonderful Gorham sterling silver fish slice or server. This piece is made in the ornate Medici pattern, which began production in 1880. This is the older, more detailed Gorham pattern with the name Medici, not the newer, simpler version. This is an elegant multi-motif pattern, similar to the Fontainebleau and Gilpen patterns which began production the same year. The handle of this piece features an armoured knight, surrounded by intricate scrollwork and oval medallions. The blade of the server is fabulously hand engraved with a foliate scrollwork design.

This piece is in great condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

This piece is stamped sterling, copyrighted, and the Gorham maker's mark.

This piece is about 11 1/2 inches long.

This piece weighs 130 grams or 4.6 regular ounces.
