Presented is an elegant sterling silver salad set made by Towle Silversmiths. The salad set is done in the D’Orleans pattern which was first produced in 1923. The salad servers are both engraved on the ends of the handles with DRA. These salad servers are solid sterling silver and have good weight. They could of course be used individually as large serving pieces.
The servers are marked on the reverse with the maker’s mark for Towle, Sterling, and Pat. 1923.
The condition is excellent. There are no dents, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The salad serving fork is 9 1/4 inches long.
The salad serving spoon is 9 1/4 inches long.
The weight is 217.7 grams or 7.6 ounces.
