Presented is a fabulous Tiffany & Co sterling silver fish serving set. This set is done in the elegant Persian pattern, which began production in 1872. This is a very ornate and detailed pattern, with elaborate floral motifs and patterns done in matte and textured finish. This is an impressive and attractive set, and would make an exceptional addition to any table. Use together for serving fish or separately for more general serving purposes, however you like.
This set is in excellent condition. The details of the pattern are quite crisp. There has probably been a monogram removal to the terminal of each handle, but it was so well done it's hard to be sure there was ever anything there. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms, and no repairs.
Each piece is stamped on the stem with the Tiffany & Co maker's mark, sterling, and the patent date of the pattern, 1872.
The fork is about 10 inches long. The fish knife is about 12 1/2 inches long.
This piece weighs 249 grams or 8.9 regular ounces. -jm
