Presented is a fine sterling silver serving fork made by Whiting. This piece is in the popular Louis XV pattern, which was patented in 1891. The front and back of the handle are cast with sinuous scrolls along the sides and the front has a monogram of the letter W.
The back is marked with the Whiting hallmark, sterling and patent 1891.
This piece is in fabulous condition. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The fork measures 8 3/4 inches long and weighs 75.3 grams or 2.65 ounces.
