Presented is an antique or vintage, solid sterling silver basket made by Towle during the first half of the 1900s. The basket is raised on a small pedestal base and the whole body is finely hand chased with design. We believe this is Louis XIV pattern. The handle has a small monogram in the center of the handle of the initials MRL. This is a very decorative and high quality piece.
The underside is marked for Towle and sterling silver purity.
This piece is in excellent overall condition and the designs are crisp.

The bowl is 2 1/2 inches tall and 9 inches tall with the handle upright.
