Vintage Silver Enamel Fjord Lion Shield Lake Loen Norway Souvenir Spoon Andersen
Presented is a vintage, Norwegian silver and enamel souvenir spoon for the Lake Loen. The top of the spoon has an enameled shield of a rampant lion and the bowl is enameled with a lovely scene showing cabins next to a fjord.
The bowl is marked Loen So. Tested and guaranteed to be at least 800 purity silver.
We have been told by a kind ebay member that "This lovely spoon was probably made by David Andersen between 1890 and 1905".
This piece is in good overall condition, but there is some wear to the enamel on the shield, as well as a couple of tiny chips to the enamel on the bowl.
Length: 4 1/8 inches.
Weight: 10 grams.
