Presented is a vintage pair of sterling silver candlestick holders made the Mueck-Carey Company of New York during the 1940s or the 1950s. This set is done in a classic American Colonial or 18th century form. Each candlestick has a removable bobeche, so the wax is easy to clean off. The candlesticks have an S monogram, but that can be turned to the back or against a wall and you won't be able to see it! The candlesticks are weighted and very sturdy.
The underside of each candlestick is marked for Mueck-Carey and sterling silver purity.
This set is in great overall condition. One bobeche (the removable top portion that the candle sits in) has a small hole, but it still will hold a candle just fine. The base of one candle has a small dent.
The base of each candlestick measures 4 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches. Height: 6 1/4 inches.
