Presented is a vintage, Italian silver sugar dish or covered candy/nut bowl made during the mid 1900s. We have had a silver bowl in the past in this same exact pattern and it was marked for Buccellati. This is a good weight piece for its size and the whole piece has an interesting look to it. The piece is done in a stout, classic flying saucer shape and it is raised on decorative feet. The piece has a neat, matte finish and raised flower decorations as well as a floral finial. The inside has a light gold wash.
The underside bears the Italian 800 purity silver mark and there is a worn maker's hallmark.
This piece is in exellent overall condition and the designs are crisp.
