Presented is a great quality sterling silver serving fork and spoon set made by Gorham. This set is in the Governor’s Lady pattern, which was patented in 1937. Both pieces have a column style handle with a nice monogram of the letter B at the top. The large bowl of the spoon has a fine gold wash.
The back of each piece is marked Gorham, sterling and patent.
This set is in virtually mint condition. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The spoon measures 8 3/4 inches long, the fork measures 8 1/2 inches long and the combined weight of the set is 174.8 grams or 6.2 ounces.
