Presented is a unique, vintage gold tone metal and enamel pin made by Arthus Betrand Edit of Paris, France during the first half of the 1900s. This piece is done in a domed circle or shield form and is beautifully enameled.
From Wikipedia: " Arthus-Betrand is a maker of medals and decorations. It was founded in Paris in 1803 by Claude Arthus-Bertrand, an army officer during the French Revolution. Artists who have designed for the firm include Frederic Auguste Bartholdi (sculptor of the Statue of Liberty) and Fernard Leger.
The back is marked for Arthus-Bertrand and Paris.
This piece is in excellent condition.
