Presented is a handsome Tiffany & Co sterling silver bowl. This piece dates to 1947-1956. The bowl is round, standing on four decorative feet in the form of a stylized lotus or similar flower, reminiscent of some of Georg Jensen's designs. The bowl is well made from thick, heavy gauge sterling silver, with all the quality and style expected of the Tiffany name. The bowl is polished to a bright mirror shine, inside and out.
This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside of the piece is stamped with the Tiffany & Co. maker's mark, sterling silver and the initial 'M' for the company director between 1947-1956, Louis deBebian Moore.
The bowl measures about 8 1/2 inches in diameter and stands about 4 inches tall.
This piece weighs 699 grams or 24.7 regular ounces.
