Presented is a wonderful English sterling silver teapot, dated 1974. Although this is a relatively modern piece, the teapot is done in a much older lighthouse form, typical of the early 1700s. The teapot is done in a tapered cylindrical form, giving it the classical 'lighthouse' profile, with an elegantly scrolled handle carved from beautiful wood.
This piece is in great overall condition. There are no splits, no leaks, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is hallmarked on the side with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head for the city of London, the date letter T for 1974, and the maker's mark for D J Silver Repairs. The lip of the lid is also stamped with the lion passant for sterling silver and the leopard's head for the city of London.
The teapot stands about 9 3/4 inches tall.
