Presented is a handsome British sterling silver coffee or teapot previously owned by Martha Stewart! The pot is made in a lovely English Georgian lighthouse style with a pretty rolled lip at the spout, an attractive scrolled wooden handle and a turned wooden finial on the hinged lid. The pot is extremely well made, with a nice feeling of weight and quality in the hand.
The pot has a capacity of 24 fluid ounces/0.7 liter.
The pot is clean inside, with just a coffee or tea ring around the bottom. The exterior is in excellent condition, with just two tiny nicks and minor surface wear. There is an assay mark in the inside of the foot rim. There are no splits, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The pot is stamped on the underside with "England", "Wyler New York", and with the silversmith maker's mark for CJ Vander Ltd.. There's also the lion passant indicating sterling silver purity, the city mark for London, and the date letter for 1974.
