Presented is a terrific, sterling silver serving dish made by the Gorham Manufacturing Company in 1941. This bowl is finely chased and engraved all over. The rim has a highly raised band of grapes and leaves, while the inside of the bowl is engraved with flowing ribbon festoons connecting scroll and flower embellishments.
The underside is marked Gorham, sterling and has the number one in a box denoting the year 1941.
This piece is in virtually mint condition. There is some very slight wear to the engraved decorations but this is only noticeable when you are inspecting the piece very close. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The dish measures 10 inches in diameter, is 1 3/4 inches tall and weighs 389 grams or 13.7 ounces.
