Presented is a lovely carved shell cameo in a 10K gold filigree frame. The
shell is very nicely carved to depict a beautiful young woman in classical
attire. The cameo is securely bezel set in an elegant yellow gold filigree
setting. The shell was undoubtedly carved in Italy, while the gold frame was
certainly added in the United States. The pin was made around the 1910s to the
1930s.
The pin is marked 10K on the clasp. We have tested it with nitric acid and
guarantee it to be 10K gold.
The condition is excellent. There are no chips, no cracks, no splits, no
breaks, and no repairs.
The pin measures 1 1/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches.
