Victorian c1860s-1870s 14k Gold Turquoise Etruscan Revival Bar Pin
Presented is a beautiful 14 karat gold and turquoise bare pin. This is an American Victorian piece, dating to around the 1860s-1870s. The pin is done in the Etruscan Revival style of that time period, featuring intricate applied gold ropework designs and a stylish matte finish. The bar pin has four stylized flower designs, the petals and leaves of which are bezel set with little round turquoise cabochons. The pin has an old C style clasp, capped for additional safety. The back of the pin has an inscriptions reading MTF from ML in elegant script.
The pin is in great condition. All the turquoise pieces and wirework are intact. The clasp functions well and closes securely. There are no breaks and no repairs.
The pin is about 2 1/2 inches long.
