Victorian 14K Gold Ruby Sapphire Diamond Clover Pin

Presented is a classic American Victorian 14K gold, ruby, sapphire and diamond
ribbon pin with a three leaf clover at the center. The gold setting is
beautifully textured and engraved. The diamond is an old rose cut stone. This
piece was made in the 1870s to 1880s.
The original clasp has been replaced. You can see the solder on the reverse,
but the repair is not visible from the front. The replacement piece is not
gold, but everything else is original and 14 karat gold.
The pin is not marked. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee
everything to be 14K gold except for the replacement piece on the clasp, which
is described above.
Apart from the repair to the clasp, the pin is in great condition overall.
There are some dents to the gold ball at one end, but this is fairly minor. The
stones are well set. There are no splits, no breaks, and no other repairs.
The pin measures 5/8 inch wide and 2 1/8 inches long.
The weight is 6.9 grams.
