Presented is a very fine platinum and diamond ring setting for a solitaire stone. Each side of the ring is channel set with 4 high quality modern brilliant round diamonds. They have great color, F-G color, and really high quality clarity: ranging from SI to VS-2 clarity. They have a lot of life and sparkle to them. This would make an excellent setting for an engagement ring. The prongs can fit a round diamond with a diameter of about 8.75 millimeters. The prongs can also accommodate a square or rectangular cut diamond with dimensions approximately between 5.5-6.25 millimeters.
The ring setting is marked on the inside of the band with PLAT for platinum and S&S for the maker. We have tested the setting with nitric acid and guarantee it to be platinum.
The condition is excellent. The stones are in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, no splits and no repairs.
The ring is between a size 6 1/2 and 6 3/4. It can be sized up or down. The interior of the ring is unusually shaped and has a flat top.
The ring weighs 8.9 grams. Very heavy!
