Presented is a wonderful quality two tone 18K gold and diamond ring setting. The ring has a thick heavy weight white gold band with elegant yellow gold accents on either side. Each side of the setting is set with 3 modern brilliant cut diamonds. These diamonds are at least 5 points in size each for a total carat weight in diamonds of about 30 points or 0.30 carat. The diamonds are good clean stones with H color and VS clarity. The head of the ring is composed of six strong prongs. No stone has ever been mounted into it. This head can easily accommodate a 1.25 carat stone, perhaps even a 1.5 carat stone. At present the head measures approximately 6.7 millimeters in diameter; obviously this size can be adjusted slightly when a jeweler cuts and finishes the prongs to set the stone. The entire setting is beautifully made and will be able to complement a high grade center stone very nicely.
The ring is stamped 18K on the inside of the band. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 18K gold.
The condition is excellent. The diamonds are securely channel set. There are no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The ring is a size 5 1/2. It can be sized larger or smaller.
The weight is 5.4 grams.
