Presented is a fine quality, sterling silver coffee or tall tea pot made by Tuttle between 1969 and 1974. This piece is in a classical George I period form. George I of Great Britain ruled from 1714 until his death in 1727, so the style is early 18th century. The handle is carved wood and is very tight and secure. The hinge of the lid is in great condition. This teapot has never been monogrammed.
The underside is marked Tuttle, sterling, George I Period, and has a date symbol RMN for production during Nixon's presidency (1969-1974).
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The coffeepot measures 7 1/4 inches from handle to spout and is 9 3/4 inches tall.
