Presented is a beautifully crafted sterling silver pudding or serving spoon made by Towle Silversmiths. The spoon is in the Canterbury pattern, which was patented in 1893. This piece is old, original production. The ornate handle is decorated along the edges with a fine beaded border and there are lovely swirl flourishes at the tip. There is an old monogram of the initials MSB or M?B.
The back is marked with the Towle hallmark, sterling, 925/1000, copyrighted and a retailer's name Chas J. Dale.
This old piece is in super condition and the designs are very crisp. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
