Presented is a wonderful quality Tiffany & Co. 14 karat lady's wristwatch, from 1949, with original bill of sale from Tiffany & Co. The watch is very beautifully made, with an elegantly feminine dial and a bracelet of rings and flat ribbed links. The back of the case is engraved with the name Winifred Austin, whose name is also on the bill of sale. This is a fabulous piece of jewelry of exceptional quality.
The watch dial says Tiffany & Co., and the watch comes with its original sale documentation. The original movement was made by International Watch Co. and the case and clasp are stamped with the Cresarrow mark. The replacement movement is a good quality 17 jewel movement, consistent with the original.
The watch is in excellent condition. It runs and keeps accurate time. The original movement has been replaced and does not work, but we are including it as it might be able to be repaired.
The watch is about 6 1/4 inches long. Please be aware that this will not fit a larger size wrist.
The weight of the watch, with its current movement and without its original movement, is 24 grams. The weight of the original movement is 3.5 grams, and given that it's fairly equivalent to the movement in use, this means about 21
grams of this piece's weight is gold.
