Superb Whiting Sterling Silver Imperial Queen Asparagus Serving Fork 10 1/4"
Presented is a fabulous Whiting sterling silver asparagus server. This piece is made in the Imperial Queen pattern, which began production in 1893. This is an elegant pattern featuring traditional shell and scroll designs. This is a nice old server, made within a decade or so of the patent date of the pattern. The server has a wide five-tined serving end, great for serving long stems of asparagus, sandwiches, or for many other serving purposes.
This piece is in great condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The server is stamped with the Whiting maker's mark, sterling, and the patent date for the pattern, 1893.
The server is about 10 1/4 inches long.
The server weighs 123 grams or 4.3 regular ounces.
