Queen Louise of Prussia Victorian 14k Gold Pearl Miniature Portrait Brooch Pin

Presented is beautiful Victorian 14 karat gold miniature portrait brooch. The portrait is beautifully hand painted on porcelain, showing a lovely young woman with curly hair. This is Queen Louise of Prussia. The frame for the portrait is 14 karat gold in an ornate design of scrolls and leaves, with seed pearls in flower shaped settings around the edge. The pin has an old C style clasp, behind which the porcelain of the portrait is visible. A photo could easily be fixed to the back of the portrait with adhesive, or a glass and bezel added.

This piece is in great condition. The pearls are all intact. The portrait is in great shape. There are no breaks and no repairs.

The pin is not stamped or hallmarked, but we have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14 karat gold.

The pin measures about 1 1/2 by 1 1/4 inches, LxW.

The pin weighs 11.4 grams.
