Superb Quality Pair 14k Gold Diamond Pearl Drop Dangle Earrings

Presented is a classy pair of 14 karat gold, diamond and pearl earrings. These
earrings date to around the 1970s-1980s and are likely of American make. The
earrings are made in an elegant dangle design, each with 5 pearls of about 9
millimeters in diameter. The pearls are beautifully lustrous, with rich pink
highlights and a warm tone. These pearls are not perfectly round, they have some
slight natural variations in size/shape, and in the surface of the nacre. The
pearls are separated by little yellow gold rondelles, with a larger rondelle
above the last pearl on each earring, done in white gold and set with 12 modern
brilliant cut diamonds. These diamonds are good quality stones of VS to SI
clarity and H color, full of life and fire. The diamonds are about 3 points each
in size, for a total diamond weight of around three quarters of a carat. Though
the earrings do not have a maker's mark, the topmost pearl on each earring is
set with a little diamond in the top, which is a design choice that some
renowned jewelers have used in place of a stamp. The earrings currently have
clip style backs for wear with unpierced or pierced ears, but could easily be
converted for wear with pierced ears only by adding posts, something your local
jeweler could easily do.
