Superb Gorham Chantilly Sterling Silver Gold Wash Salad Serving Set E Mono
Regular price
$278.00
Presented is a fantastic quality Gorham sterling silver salad serving set. This set is made in the classic Chantilly pattern, one of the most popular patterns from Gorham. This pattern began production in 1895 and has been in production ever since, still quite collectible even today. This salad serving set has a light gold wash to the bowl of the spoon and body of the fork. The terminals of the handles have a monogram of E in Gothic lettering.
The handle is stamped with the old style maker's mark for Gorham as well as sterling and the patent date of 1895.
This salad serving set is in excellent overall condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. The gold wash to the bowl of the spoon/body of the fork has some wear; on both pieces, about half the gilding is intact.
There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. Both the spoon and the fork measure about 8 3/4 inches long.
The total weight for both pieces is 144 grams or 5.1 regular ounces. -jm
