Superb Buccellati Sterling Silver 79pc Empire Impero Flatware Set Dinner Size

Presented is an excellent 79 piece Buccellati sterling silver flatware set. This set is made in the classic Empire pattern, which began production in 1970. This is an elegant pattern with oval shaped terminals to the handles, decorated with foliate and scrollwork designs. The pieces are well made, with a great feeling of weight and quality in the hand, exactly as expected of the Buccellati name. This set serves 12 with six piece place settings, or 13 with five piece place settings, without the teaspoons.

The set consists of:

• 13 Dinner knives-- 9 7/8 inches long.
• 13 Dinner forks-- 8 3/8 inches long.
• 13 Salad forks-- 7 inches long.
• 13 Oval soup/place/dessert spoons--7 inches long.
• 12 Teaspoons-- 6 1/8 inches long.
• 15 Butter knives/spreaders-- 6 1/4 inches long.

This set is in excellent overall condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. The dinner forks have some minor knife marks to the backs of the tines here and there, but nothing excessive or super noticeable. One of the teaspoons has seen the inside of a sink disposal and the bowl of the spoon is damaged. The knife handles are in great shape, with no splits and no looseness. No monograms or repairs to any of the pieces.

Each piece is marked Buccellati as well as sterling and Italy.

We are shipping this set with a new walnut storage chest. If you do not wish for this wooden chest to be included, please let us know and we will not ship it, and pass the savings of the cost of shipping on to you.

The weighable silver weight for the set is 2940 grams or 103.7 regular ounces. This does not include the weight of the dinner knives or the butter knives, due to the blades and weighted handles.
