Presented is a charming little antique Dutch silver souvenir spoon, dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The bowl of the spoon is done in a wonderfully detailed openwork design of foliate scrollwork and and little flowers. The spoon has a twist design stem with a full three dimensional figural terminal in the form of a two sail sailing ship topped by waving flags, nicely detailed and well cast.
The bowl of the spoon is stamped with the Dutch small article hallmark guaranteeing at least 833 purity silver with a maker's mark of ZZ on the other side.
This piece is in excellent condition. The details of the designs are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece measures about 4 3/4 inches long.
