Superb 18k Gold Platinum & ~.5ct Diamond Semi Mount Ring Setting for ~6mm Stone

Presented is a stunning 18 karat gold, platinum and diamond semi-mount ring
setting. This is a modern setting, made by Unigem, an American company. The ring
is designed for a round cut stone, with four prongs in the eye of a swirl
design. On either side of the empty setting are 32 total baguette cut diamonds,
16 on each side. These are vibrant,  dazzling stones of G-H color and VS-1
to VVS clarity, totaling at least 50 points (half of a carat) in weight. The
diamonds are set in platinum so they really pop, and the head of the ring, in
the center of the swirl, is platinum as well, so it is ideal for a diamond. The
setting measures about 6 millimeters in diameter, measuring from inside the
notches, directly across where the stone would sit. Of course the measurements
are not hard and fast requirements for the stone size, as a jeweler can
manipulate the prongs to accommodate a variety of sizes, but these measurements
give a general idea.

The ring is in great condition. The diamonds are securely set with no chips.
The prongs are in great shape, they don't appear to have ever had a stone set in
them. There are no breaks and no repairs.

The band is stamped 18kp for 18 karat plumb, meaning exact, as well as plat
for platinum, and a maker's mark for Unigem, with the copyright symbol.

The ring is a size 6 but can be resized by a jeweler

The ring weighs 7.0 grams.
