Superb 1878 Royal Worcester Aesthetic Mvmt Bamboo Cherry Blossom Triple Bud Vase

Presented is a gorgeous antique Royal Worcester porcelain triple bud vase, dated 1878. This piece is made very much in the Aesthetic Movement style with strong Asian influence, formed as a group of three bamboo stalks and adorned with bamboo leaves and flowering cherry trees. The trees/branches and the long bamboo leaves are beautifully hand gilt in gold with red detailing, while the five-petaled prunus/cherry flowers are done in silver or platinum, again with red detailing. The quality of the decoration is exceptional, very detailed and well done. The red of the tree and the raised dots on the cherry blossoms is much more vibrant in person than the photos show.

The underside is signed with the Royal Worcester mark in red with a date letter N for 1878 (sixth photo) as well as with the Royal Worcester mark and the English registry mark impressed (under the glaze, shown in the seventh photo). This piece is in excellent overall condition.

There is some minor wear to the gilding of the bamboo leaves and around the openings, but this is hard to notice without looking very closely. There is a little loss to the brown coloration of the 'base', most visible in the third photo. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.
