Stylish MCM Sterling Silver Gold Vermeil Cigarette Case
Regular price
$387.00
Presented is a very stylish vintage gold plated sterling silver cigarette case, dating to around the 1950s-1960s. This piece is likely of Italian make, but we aren't sure. The case has a very sleek ridged or ribbed design to the exterior, while the interior is bright high finish. The interior has a spring-loaded bar to hold cigarettes in place, and the case opens with the press of a button on the edge. A very handsome and high end piece.
This piece is stamped and guaranteed 925 for sterling silver.
This piece is in excellent condition. The first photograph in particular makes it seem as though there is a lot of tarnish in the crevices of the design, but most of this is just reflection/shadow, the third and fourth photographs are more accurately how it looks. There is some minor wear to the gold plating of the high points. The button of the opening mechanism and the interior band that holds cigarettes in place both have good spring mechanisms. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The case measures about 5 by 3 1/4 inches.
This piece weighs 212 grams or 7.5 regular ounces. -jm
