Stunning VTG Platinum ~.94ct Diamond Ribbon Bow Wreath Pin Brooch
Regular price
$1,217.00
Presented is a fabulous vintage platinum and diamond pin or brooch, dating to around the 1940s-1960s and made in America. The brooch is made in the form of a bowtied ribbon wreath, set throughout its surface with 47 sparkling full cut diamonds. The diamonds vary in size but average 2 points apiece at a very conservative estimate. The diamonds are great quality stones of VS clarity and H/I color, totaling at least 94 points (.94ct) in weight, again a conservative estimate, but considering that there are 47 total diamonds this weight could easily be 1.25ct total. The brooch has a rollover style safety clasp on the back, which is quite secure.
This piece is in excellent condition. The diamonds are all intact and well set. The clasp functions well and closes securely.
This piece is not stamped or hallmarked that we could find, but we have tested all parts with nitric acid tested and guarantee the brooch to be platinum EXCEPT for the pin shaft, which is 14 karat white gold.
The pin measures about 1 1/4 by 1 1/8 inches.
This pin weighs 8.9 grams. -jm
