Presented is an incredible, German silver candelabra made by Eckert of Dresden between 1880 and 1920. This turn of the century piece is finely cast and hand chased with elaborate, raised designs. All of the leaf, shell and scroll embellishments are detailed and textured. The piece holds four handles. The bobeches/wax drips and sockles are removable for easy cleaning and we will ship this piece disassembled, as shown in the last photo. This piece is completely solid silver, there is no weighting, in fact you can see that both the top and bottom portions are hollow. The silver is very heavy and strong. This is a very fine quality, hand crafted piece.
Both the base and top portion are marked 800 for the silver purity, Dresden and Eckert.
This piece is in fabulous overall condition and the designs are very crisp. There are no missing pieces, no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The candelabra measures 18 inches tall and weighs 2720 grams or 95.9 ounces. There is no weighting in this piece. All of the weight is silver.
