Presented is a very unique and wonderful quality American Brilliant Period cut glass serving dish or bowl made during the mid to late 1800s. The bowl is paneled and has alternating hobstars and neat diamond cuts. This piece is unsigned but is almost certainly the work of a high quality maker such as Hawkes, Libbey, Fry or Sinclair.

(A kind person told us that "I believe this bowl was originally made by the Empire Cut Glass CO. I have a bowl with almost exactly the same type of patterns (throughout) along w/ the bowl being of same shape, which Woody Auctions, LLC attributed to said-same when they listed it at auction")

This piece is in good condition for its age. There are some chips to the teeth along the rims, as is expected on pieces like this. The chips are rather minor and none of the teeth are missing. There are no other damages and no repairs.

The bowl measures 7 7/8 inches in diameter and is 3 3/4 inches tall.

Weight: 1,510 grams or 53.3 ounces.
