Stunning 18k Gold Diamond & Sapphire Violin Pin Brooch Pendant

Presented is a stunning 18 karat gold, diamond and sapphire pin or pendant in the shape of a violin. This is a modern piece, possibly of Italian make. The pin is done in a realistic form, very finely detailed, down to the chin-rest, bow, and the strings which are real gold wire. The pin is set throughout the body of the violin with dazzling full cut diamonds, of .5 to 1 point each in size. The tuning keys of the violin each are set with a diamond as well. There are 88 diamonds, total. These are high quality stones, of VS to SI clarity and G color, totaling at least half a carat in diamond weight. Along the neck of the violin are 11 square cut sapphires, real mined-from-the-ground stones with rich blue color. The pin has a rollover style safety clasp, as well as a loop in the back so it can be worn as a pendant. This is an extraordinarily well made piece of jewelry, and would make a great gift for any violinist or lover of classical music.

This piece is stamped 750 for 18 karat gold. There may be another mark beside that, but if so it is too worn to be legible.

This piece is in great overall condition. The diamonds and sapphires are securely set. The clasp functions well and closes securely. There are no breaks and no repairs.

The pin measures about 2 1/4 inches long.
