Striking c1910 Antique French Art Pottery Red Geometric Bottle Vase
Regular price
$635.00
Presented is a stunning antique French pottery vase, dating to the first quarter of the 1900s. The vase is made in a kind of geometric bottle form, round with tapered, straight sides and a flared lip. The vase features a striking rich red glaze with darker, textured mottling with a very organic, naturalistic look, reminiscent of lichen or the patterns of inclusions in some stones. This is a wonderful piece of art pottery with a very eye-catching look.
The underside is signed with an impressed mark, as well as France and a number 9144 in black. The signature may be for Pierrefonds, or possibly for Francois Emile Decorchemont.
This piece is in excellent condition.
There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.
The vase stands about 7 1/8 inches tall and measures about 7 1/4 inches in diameter. -jm
