Sparkling Edwardian 10k White Gold Filigree Cameo Pin w/ Carved Woman Flowers
It is stamped “10k” on the clasp for the gold purity, nitric acid tested and guaranteed.
It was made circa 1900-1910.
This piece features a wonderfully-crafted filigree openwork setting, with a fine milgrain finish. There are leaves at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions around the setting, nicely hand engraved and textured. The cameo itself is skillfully carved, with fine detailing in the hair, face, and on the flowers. The setting catches the light beautifully. The clasp is a lever catch style, nice and secure.
The design is very pretty and feminine.
The piece is in great overall condition. There is a minor dent in the setting at the 11 o'clock position, but it is less noticeable in person than the photos make it seem. The clasp is working well.
