Set 9 c1890s KPM Reticulated Pierced 9" Hand Painted Plates Flowers Butterflies

Presented is an exceptional quality set of 9 antique KPM porcelain plates, dating to around the 1890s. The plates are beautifully made with a reticulated rim, made up of intricate openwork with fine gold gilt detailing and little bowtied ribbon designs. The solid centers are skillfully hand painted with colorful and realistic flowers, all individually done, no two identical, surrounding by little butterflies and accent flowers. The colors are mostly pinks, purples, and red-orange shades, with fresh green for the flowers' leaves, so this is a very lively set. The interior edge has a basket weave texture to it, which is a nice touch.

This set of nine plates is in excellent condition. The gilding and hand painted decoration is in great shape. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. We are including with this lot a tenth plate which has a fine hairline crack. This tenth bonus plate is great for display or wall hanging, as the fine crack is very hard to notice visually.

Each plate is signed with the KPM sceptre mark in blue, with KPM in red beneath.
