Presented is a great set of 3 Whiting sterling silver oval soup, place, or dessert spoons. These spoons are made in beautiful Heraldic pattern, which began production in 1880. As the name suggests, this pattern features a striking design of a knight's helmet as you'd see on a heraldic crest, on the terminals of the handles. Below the helmet is a cartouche, with a monogram of B in Gothic lettering. Beneath the cartouche is more sinuous decoration in the high Art Nouveau style of the time to which the pattern dates.
These spoons are stamped sterling as well as the maker's mark for Whiting.
This set of spoons is in excellent condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each spoon measures about 7 inches long.
