Scottish Sterling Silver Chrysoprase Robert Allison Sword Claymore Pin Brooch

Presented is a neat Scottish sterling silver pin or brooch, made by Robert Allison in 1968. The pin is made in a classically Scottish claymore design, with a large round chrysoprase cabochon set in a decorated round shield shaped setting midway down the blade. The chrysoprase measures about 16 millimeters in diameter and is a wonderful rich translucent green. The pin has a rollover style safety clasp.

This piece is stamped with the Scottish thistle guaranteeing sterling purity silver, the city mark for Edinburgh, the date letter n for 1968, and the maker's mark for Robert Allison, as well as “Scotland” on the crossguard.

This piece is in excellent condition. The chrysoprase is well set and intact. The clasp functions well and closes securely.

The pin measures about 3 3/8 inches long.

The pin weighs 13.1 grams.
