Presented is a lovely 14 karat yellow gold and amethyst pendant necklace. This is a relatively contemporary piece, likely of American make. The chain is a classic box style. The pendant is set with a gorgeous purple amethyst cabochon measuring about 21 by 8 millimeters, in a decorative openwork setting. The pendant has a good size bail of about 8.5 by 3 millimeters interior measurement so it can accommodate other sizes and styles of chain as well. This piece is in excellent condition. The chain has no kinks or breaks. The clasp is working well and closes securely. The amethyst is well set with no chips.
Both the chain and the pendant are nitric acid tested and guaranteed 14 karat gold as well as a maker's mark.
