Presented is a wonderful Reed & Barton sterling silver berry or casserole serving spoon. This piece is done in the elegant Les Six Fleurs pattern, which began production in 1901. This particular piece dates to the first year of production or even slightly earlier, as indicated by the 'patent applied for' mark. As the name suggests, this is a floral themed pattern, with beautiful flower designs on the handle in high relief. This is a great quality piece, well made and with a nice heft in the hand.
This piece is in great overall condition. The details of the pattern are quite crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside of the piece is stamped 'sterling' and with the maker's mark for Reed & Barton, as well as a patent applied for mark.
