Regular price $240.00 $0.00 Unit price per

Presented is a great set of six antique Mexican silver filigree spoons. The spoons date to around the 1850s-1870s. The handles of the spoons are done in a lovely openwork filigree design, with the Mexican eagle and snake emblem as it appears on the flag on the terminal of each spoon. Three of the spoons have a rounded end to the handle, while the remaining three have a pointed tip.

The spoons are in great overall condition. One spoon is missing a little curl of filigree from one design, but this is not very noticeable and otherwise the spoons are fairly crisp. There are no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs. The exterior of the box has some wear, and the lid is detached at the hinge.

Each spoon is hallmarked 'Mexico.' The spoons have been tested with nitric acid and are guaranteed at least 900 purity silver.

Each spoon is about 4 ½ inches long.

The total weight is 47.9 grams or 1.7 regular ounces.
