Presented is a fine set of 6 Alvin sterling silver forks. These forks are made in the rare and desirable Nurembourg pattern, which began production in 1903. This is a pattern with a lot of visual interest, featuring designs of fruit and foliage around a prominent devil's head mask. This pattern is quite distinctive, and pieces in this pattern are quite rare and hard to find, particularly in such clean condition. This is a very scarce set, and a great opportunity for any collector of fine silver.
This set is in great condition. There are only the most minor of knife marks to the backs of the tines, and minimal rounding to the tips. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each fork is stamped with the Alvin maker's mark as well as sterling and patent.
Each fork is about 6 3/4 inches long.
