Presented is a superb set of 5 antique Gorham sterling silver demitasse spoons. These spoons are made in the elegant Marie Antoinette pattern, which began production in 1890. The handles in this pattern have ornate scrollwork decoration in a Rococo-inspired style. The bowls of the spoons have a monogram of W or M (depending on how you look at it) in Gothic lettering.
Each spoon is stamped with the Gorham maker's mark as well as sterling.
This set is in excellent condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each spoon is about 4 3/8 inches long.
The total weight for the set is 69 grams or 2.4 regular ounces. -jm
