Presented is a fabulous quality pair of serving pieces by William B. Meyers. This set is done very much in the style of George Jensen's #57 pattern, perhaps as a custom commission to match an existing set or during the war when Jensen items were impossible to procure new in the States. Whatever the case, these pieces are very well made, with the marks of hand hammering visible in the finish, and are quite collectible. Great for use together as a salad serving set, or separately for whatever serving purpose you prefer.
This set is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each piece is stamped with the maker's mark for William B. Meyers, a fine New York silver maker, as well as sterling.
The spoon is about 10 1/4 inches long. The fork is about 10 inches long.
The total weight for the set is 280 grams or 9.9 regular ounces.
