Presented is a very rare, porcelain and gilded brass or bronze ring box made by Meissen of German during the late 19th century. This piece was most likely made around the 1880s. The round box is completely hand painted and has a lovely scene of a renaissance style couple on the lid. The inside of the bottom of the box has a velvet lining with a slot for a ring. The name of the original jeweler for the custom made box is painted on the inside of the lid, but is no longer legible.

This piece is in fabulous condition and the box snaps securely shut. No cracks, no chips and no problems.
