Rare Large Stieff Sterling Silver Tea Strainer Chrysanthemum Pattern
Regular price
$373.00
Presented is a great quality American sterling silver tea strainer by the Stieff silver company and in the Chrysanthemum pattern. This pattern was first made in 1904 and this piece is certainly old production. All of the repousse work is beautifully done on both the handle and the bowl. Crisp as it can be. The bowl is quite deep and the holes are large enough to make it very usable.
It is hallmarked on the reverse sterling and 925 and the company name Stieff.
The condition is excellent. There has been a monogram removal on the reverse, but of course this cannot be seen from the front. There are no breaks, no repairs, no cracks, no dents, and no other issues.
The length is 7 1/4 inches.
The maximum diameter of the bowl is 3 1/2 inches.
The weight is 80 grams or 2.8 ounces.
